Satoshi Shimizu ("we", "us", or "our") handles user information in connection with the macOS application "AgentGauge", its related widgets, update features, license features, and related web pages (collectively, the "Service") as described below.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information that we obtain, access, store, or transmit in connection with your use of the Service. Information obtained or processed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Apple, Lemon Squeezy, or other third-party services is governed by the privacy policies, terms, and other rules of those third parties.

2. Basic Policy of the Service

AgentGauge is a tool that displays usage, reset times, estimates, and related information in the menu bar, app window, and widgets based on local data from Codex CLI, Claude Code, and similar tools, as well as usage information from the relevant services. The Service does not require you to register an email address or password with us. We do not intend to send or store your conversation content, prompt text, full CLI logs, OAuth tokens, or passwords on servers operated by us.

3. Information We Obtain or Process

The Service may obtain, access, store, or process the following information to provide its features.

• CLI usage information
• Token usage, model names, usage dates, providers, rate limits, reset times, input/output token counts, and similar fields contained in local logs, session files, status line bridge files, and related data from Codex CLI and Claude Code.
• Main locations accessed may include ~/.codex/sessions, ~/.claude, ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/local-agent-mode-sessions, and ~/Library/Application Support/AgentGauge/statusline_rate_limits.json.
• Information for obtaining Claude usage
• Claude Code authentication status, Claude Code credentials in Keychain, or OAuth access token and expiry information in ~/.claude/.credentials.json.
• The Service may use that token to send requests to Anthropic's usage-related API in order to obtain Claude usage and reset times. The token is not sent to or stored on servers operated by us.
• App settings and display data
• Displayed providers, selected periods, notification settings, thresholds, custom estimates, launch settings, paid feature status, license codes, and similar settings.
• Snapshots, histories, and estimate settings for widgets and history displays. Main storage locations include ~/Library/Application Support/AgentGauge and Application Support/AgentGauge inside the widget container.
• License and purchase information
• If you use paid features, we may process license codes, purchase status, order IDs, purchase dates, plans, payment status, and related information.
• Name, email address, address, payment method, billing information, and other information required for payment are primarily obtained and processed by Lemon Squeezy or other payment providers. We may receive purchase-related information to the extent necessary for license management and support.
• Inquiry information
• If you contact us through a contact form, email, sales platform, or other means, we may obtain your name, email address, inquiry details, purchase information, device environment, log excerpts, and similar information.
• Website and update check information
• The Service or related websites may obtain server log information such as IP address, user agent, access date and time, and request URL for update checks, app downloads, page display, and security purposes.

4. Purposes of Use

We use the information we obtain or process for the following purposes.

• To display usage, remaining limits, reset times, history, and notifications for Codex CLI, Claude Code, and similar tools.
• To provide menu bar, app window, widget, and notification features.
• To store your selected app settings and apply them during future use.
• To connect to Claude usage-related APIs and obtain usage and reset times.
• To provide paid features, license activation, license unlinking, fraud prevention, and post-purchase support.
• To check for app updates, distribute updates, improve security, and respond to bugs.
• To respond to inquiries, verify identity, and provide necessary communications.
• To comply with laws, terms, payment provider requirements, or platform requirements.

5. External Communication

The Service may communicate externally in the following cases.

• Update checks and downloads
• The Service accesses locations such as https://satona.jp/agentgauge/appcast.xml for update checks using Sparkle.
• Obtaining Claude usage
• The Service may access Anthropic's usage-related API using Claude Code credentials available in your environment.
• License purchase and payment
• Purchases of paid features, payments, license issuance, billing, refunds, and related processes may be handled through Lemon Squeezy or other payment services.
• Inquiries and support
• If you contact us, communication occurs to send the inquiry and receive our response.

6. Advertising and Analytics Tools

The Service currently does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not collect, sell, or share your usage history, CLI logs, conversation content, or device information for advertising purposes within the Service.

7. Third-Party Disclosure and Service Providers

We do not provide your personal information to third parties except in the following cases.

• Where we have your consent.
• Where required by law.
• Where necessary to protect life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain your consent.
• Where we use Lemon Squeezy, hosting providers, or other external services to the extent necessary for payment, license management, update distribution, inquiry handling, hosting, or other operation of the Service.

8. Retention and Deletion

Settings, snapshots, histories, estimate settings, and similar data stored by the Service on your device may remain until you delete the app or delete the relevant stored data. Main storage locations include ~/Library/Application Support/AgentGauge and the widget container. Inquiry, purchase, license, and server log information is retained for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of use, comply with laws, handle disputes, perform accounting and tax processing, and maintain security, and is then deleted or anonymized by appropriate means.

9. Security Measures

We strive to take necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss, damage, unauthorized access, and similar risks concerning information we obtain. However, security management of your device, CLIs, Keychain, third-party services, and network environment is within the responsibility of you and the relevant providers.

10. User Rights

You may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, and similar actions regarding your personal information held by us in accordance with applicable laws. Settings, histories, snapshots, and similar data stored on your device by the Service can be deleted by you. Please contact us through the contact form on this website for inquiries.

11. International Transfers

The Service may use services provided by Anthropic, Lemon Squeezy, hosting providers, and other businesses located outside Japan. In such cases, user information may be processed outside Japan.

12. Use by Minors

If a minor uses the Service, the minor must obtain consent from a parent or other legal representative.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy as necessary. If we make material changes, we will announce them by an easy-to-understand method, such as our website, in-app notice, or update information.

15. Language

If there is any conflict or discrepancy between the Japanese version of this Privacy Policy and any translated version, the Japanese version shall prevail.
